Fizz, I always love your suggestions. I know we have talked about this idea a number of times. I love the idea of 2 leagues, seeding can made at the start of the season with a seeding tournament. - Highly competitive games everytime you play. - Frees up weekends to set up additional B Squad fixtures...

WPC has informed me that 28K was allocated to them by the Executive Committee for this financial year. WPC decided to prioritise its funding to the territories, a contribution to the England World Cup squad, funding to FIL for a share in the expenses of the World Cup umpires and training of coaches/...

Does anyone know why the 7v7 rule is being trialled in Schools and clubs leagues across the country and some of the best players in the country are not trialling this rule and having their opinions canvassed. I know Robbo said that this 7v7 rule has already been trialled, but this is the first time ...

Your comments are all valid and it is true in the USA you do have to pay more for courses and as umpire, I also understand that you charge a much higher sum for reffing games, as well. I don't think that is the route we would want to take in this country. I think it correct that we have official cou...

Just want to let you know, that I am not going to let this one lie. (Along with the rest of my list) This is now being dicussed by Junior and Senior North Committees. I have had some correspondence with Paul Coups from the ELA. Unforunately, I am unable to print the content of the email due to the disclaimer on the email. However, he has explained to me that the 2.2 million has been allocated to offset the costs of the Head office. It is also required to off set ...

Rob. Thanks very much for posting your thoughts on this. I thought the comment about the tutor being paid £125 is very interesting and reflects the true cost of the course . Why is the ELA trying to make money out of this? Isn't 2.2 million enough to keep the organisation going for a couple of years...

Don you make some excellent points about the skills required to be a umpire or a ref. These are skills which are hard to come by without game experience and umpiring coaching. A course can help to address and highlight the necessaity of these skills but it cannot give them to you as a gift. I agree ...

Caroline Royal (ELA Marketing) has responded. CAroline has explained to me, that she is only involved in designing the programs. Caroline does not request the information and only compiles what is given to her. Caroline has kindly forwarded this request on to Sallie Barker, chair of WPC. So it looks...
