Re: goalie's mesh

On a similar note, I have to string up a goalie stick, and we will be finding a fresher goalie at university, what diamond would you suggest for a newbie, Ive never played the position myself and our last goalie has graduated. 12D mesh. Whether you are experienced or a noob i'd recommend 12D. Great...

Re: BUCS Results 2/11/11

exeter beat bristol by something like 9-6 but im by no means certain of that score line other than the fact that exeter won! was under the impression that it was 9-5, but ill claim that extra goal if its going! no Dom. You won't! It'll go to Jake to make up for his extremely embarrassing own goal. ...

Re: Predictions for BUCS 2011/2012

They are already at the point where they have some incredible English talent sitting on their bench or even playing some rugby on a Wednesday! Nonetheless, we'd all fancy a couple of yanks in our own teams!

Re: stringing

Wall ball every day until the new season, that'll help accuracy for sure. With regards to stringing, every keeper seems to go differently yet still gets the same accuracy. I have some top lace as my top shooter, a hockey shooter as much second shooter and a shallow V for a bit of hold. I get good di...

Re: Stringing

String like this but alter the way he does the bottom string, else you won't get a deep enough pocket. http://www.lax.com/tv/?topic=2 Also, make sure to stretch your mesh as much as possible before you string it. I've used this tutorial for a while now and have strung 3 eclipses with it. The more yo...

Re: Mentality and Equipment

Wear what you feel comfortable in. I guess that the top goalie's wear minimal padding for a reason, other than being nuts. Football shin pads really don't limit your movement, I wear them under my trackies. I do tend to make a lot of shin saves though. I once wore thigh pads (we were playing Durham)...

Re: Goalie Head Stringing

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hb5PmmBlQM Stringing with boomer. He does the best tutorial out there I find, simple to follow and the stringing is great. I found with the bottom lace, the way he does it you don't get a deep pocket but it throws extremely well; just mess around with the bottom lace ...
