Re: BUCS 16/11

Every BUCS sport has these issues. It's a matter of personal organisation by the players, and proper organisation by the club committee. Communication with your lecturers/study groups in advance is a good way to stop them getting upset... 100% best solution. I, and a number of other players on our ...

Re: BUCS 16/11

We were travelling to them, so they have no excuse. Ridiculous that a prem team can't put out a 1st team. BUCS need to sort it out. I sent an email to BUCS a few weeks back asking if teams not being able to field teams due to conflicting lectures was a widespread problem and if they could get onto ...

Re: BUCS 16/11

Could this mean a potential double promotion to the northern prem? No play off between winner of northern 1A and Midlands 1A... Perhaps, however there would have to be some sort of play off because of the Scottish league. But then again they could just do what they did last year and have no relegat...

Re: BUCS 16/11

This is what we've heard in Aberdeen.... ST As conceded a game and have been told they must pay £2000 to the other team to cover travel and accommodation costs. BUCS have then charged them a further £500 for doing so. Their Sports Union have put them on probation for the next 6 weeks whereby they m...

Re: BUCS 16/11

Non existent, missed 3 games now. They've just cancelled their game with us on wed, rumours they might drop out the league. What the hell?! When we played them in Scotland 3 weeks ago they had about 15 americans, that's madness! can't travel? We were travelling to them, so they have no excuse. Ridi...

Re: BUCS 16/11

When Manchester played Brighton last year, they didn't have anything that we (Manchester) couldn't handle. It was a pretty easy win for us in the end. Brighton are a weaker side in the South Prem. I think they struggled last year losing players as well as not being able to travel with a full side. ...

Re: BUCS 16/11

I think that because the format for playing the Bucs Trophy and Bucs Championship changed ( play throughout the season rather than at the end). I think they kept the teams as the same groups as last year. Leeds Met are gunning for promotion this year, should everything go according to plan and we g...

Re: Tour 2011/12

We'll have a few Irish unis at Dublin this year... UCD and a much improved Galway squad, potentially one other Irish men's team aswell. Pity about the drop in numbers at Dublin the last two years. Back in '08 and '09, we had great tournaments with the likes of Munich, UCD, Notts, L'boro and Manches...

Re: South England Universities Trials/Info

We had a few from Exeter who were interested, in fact we had made plans to travel up to the first one that got canceled, but by the time the re-scheduled date rolled around I was injured and nobody else had the money to make the trip.

Re: Results 26/3/11

If exeter do get promoted, I hope they sort their pitch situation out. Any slight bit of rain and the match is called off. Dont think too many west 1 teams would be happy with that, as its a pain to rearrange later on in the season. Also hope exeter dont then just ask for double pointers when they ...

Re: SEMLA Flags Finals 2011

I'm quite surpised at Hillcroft A getting to the final, but then after looking at there fixtures i can understand as on all flags game they played there 1st team didn't have a game. I'm not saying they have cheated or anything, it's just strange how there have beaten teams such as London Uni (2nd i...

Re: Results 16/2/11

Quick thanks from Pompey 1s to Hallam for hosting us. Great game, great bunch of lads. We woke up this morning with sore heads from the drive home and plenty of if-only moments coming back to haunt us. Still though, hallam were the better team. Some interesting results though. The southern teams wi...

Re: The Great Big Bad Durham Thread

however Lacrosse is a small sport, not many people who play it go to university (although its true this is changing) plus the problem we have is that kids need to have at least AAB in order to get in here, I imagine Durham is the same. "p.s. talk of Exeter following the Durham model....they ar...
