Re: Best Scottish Lacrosse Team?
In all seriousness though, can we not have a dedicated person (persons) to do the website for the men's league?

Re: Scottish League - 10/3/12
Glasgow Lions 13 - 1 Stirling University.
Big game from the Glasgow offence. Stirling traveled light, but were up to 12 thanks to a few Lions boys and Matt Day from GU joining their ranks.
Thanks to Aidan Bundy for refereeing too.

Strathclyde University Lacrosse
There's a concerted effort underway to get a team at Strathclyde University off the ground next season. It won't be affiliated to the Sports Union in it's first season but will be getting the full backing of Glasgow City. If you know anyone at the university or planning to head there, tell them to c...

Re: Scottish League
I hears it was an enjoyable game at St. Andrews. Aberdeen did well. It would be great if St Andrea could entice some new players to the game rather than relying on imports but without an inside knowledge of how they run the club one can't judge really. They have some superb players by all accounts a...

Re: Scottish League
No they didn't. Due to the fixture re-jig to accommodate the refereeing course Glasgow A vs Stirling was rescheduled (think it helped out Stirling who are on mid-semester break too). Bit of a shame really. Turns out that Aberdeen City can't get a team together for the coming weekend so it's only a B...

Scottish League
Glasgow Lions B vs Glasgow Uni 6-5 A close game with Uni giving the Lions a massive fright by pulling level to 5-5 in the last quarter. First time we had enough bods to field the B team in full (a thrashing vs Edinburgh City in week 2 not really counting and Stirling in week 3 being a general shambl...

Re: Scottish League - 8/10/11
First B team game in Scotland. Edinburgh City vs Glasgow City B Alot to 0. Development of the game was the principle reason for the B team and in that respect it was a success. Edinburgh played the game in the best of spirits too. Although I felt they could have been kinder to the feckless fella in ...
Re: Injuries
Just be warned that NHS physios have waiting lists and if an injury isn't "life limiting" (in my case a repeating dislocating shoulder) they aren't obliged to even see you. Priority is given to the most severe cases, and quite rightly so. But definitely get it sorted! The Crossfit Gym in G...

Re: Where sells Starter pack?
We ended up going to captain lax and were able to pick and choose what we wanted to go in the kit packs.
Just email the guys there before hand (barter with them, they'll give you free stuff and reduced prices on their kit).
UKLacrosse have been helpful too.

Lift-check becoming a hold
This came up at training the other night. When checking the attacking players bottom hand and trying to lift the stick to dislodge the ball, at what point does the lift become a hold? Does it even become a hold? Is it at the discretion of the zebra or is there some hard and fast rule. I've had a ski...

You spoken to Martyn Walker about this. He played with Glasgow the last two years and is always keen for a drink/lax combo!

Re: Scotland Lacrosse NW Tour - Braveheart 2011
The way it had been explained to me was that the two squads were not defined senior or junior squads but instead were designed to allow juniors the experience of playing with seniors in order to benefit their playing ability. Though judging by 15-0 it didn't go so well :/ This didn't happen, althou...

Re: Scotland Lacrosse NW Tour - Braveheart 2011
It was a great experience for all involved and I think most of the players learned a heck of a lot last week. There performances steadily improved (not necessarily reflected in the score lines though) through the week and the systems started to take shape. The majority of the u-19 side hadn't picked...
