Re: Cup Semi-Final Draw

Liverpool were great contenders last Saturday, unrecognisable from a couple of weeks before, was a great game to play in. Bloody knackering game, but great fun, could genuinely have gone either way at one point in Q3 but Newcastle rallied back to see us off fair and square! Almost helped dull the a...

Re: Cup Semi-Final Draw

On to Prem 3. How would you have suggested it was seeded? The cup draw is done during the season to give clubs plenty of warning. That would make it unfair to seed mid-season as not everybody would be up to the same number of fixtures completed etc. Going on the previous season's positions would al...

Re: League Format / Fixtures / International Breaks

My 2p: + The lessons have been learnt over international breaks + Top of the league will always spank bottom of the league. Even being 10% worse than another team in Lacrosse can lead to heavy defeats. Play ins try to solve this. + Prem 2 appears to be much more competitive + Last year people were c...

Sorry Pom but I think you're grasping a bit with this line. If it's the norm for a team to be under strength, then it isn't under strength, that's just the level of your team!

the situation could be though they are better than you and the 18-1 scores was correct and the 14 to 8 win to you was was because they were under strength?

They got relegated and we didn't, so I would say they had to have been under strength for the majority of the year.......

Re: competitive match

I am not saying it never happened but it happened less than you think I think it was used as an excuse for teams that were not up to the mark. Maybe, though I still remember being in a relegation scrap with a certain B team many years ago and we got hammered 18-1, then beat them 14-8 with the same ...

Re: downturn in number of posts

One problem I keep having is being unable to post from Iphone. Ever since IOS6 it shows me as logged in but i can't do anything. I don't know if this is a wider problem, but if it is it might provide an explanation for some loss of posting. I often find myself wanting to chip in whilst on the bus/ i...

Liverpool 15-4 Ashton

A fun game, with Liverpool finally cracking Ashton's 6-man zone in the 3rd qtr to open up real daylight. I've never played on a pitch with quite so many hills running through it, but actually added to the fun in a mad way!

ooof everyone bar Big Mac taking a knee is pretty impressive!

Save percentage for the semi - looks like the Farsta goalie had a hell of a game.

Though being man down 10% of the time must've taken its toll?

If the Semi Finals were.. (From the ELA FB page) South 6-7 (OT) NW West NW East 7-5 Yorkshire Surely it was Yorkshire vs South in 3/4th place play off? "Semi-finals" is a bit misleading. it was actually based on 2 groups of three, based on Day 1 results: Group A: NW East, Yorkshire, NW Ce...

Re: Silly Season question

I'd argue he gains an advantage by picking up someone elses stick and playing with it. Another way of thinking about it: If he drops his stick, everything he then does is playing without a stick, so the act of picking up another person's stick is a technical foul and same result. Best off just attem...
