Re: Lacrosse & London 2012

I'm sure I read somewhere (albeit a while back) that the IOC were putting a hold on accepting new sports to the Olympics at some point, particularly large team sports as they are both: a) very expensive - in that many more competitors, coaches, physios etc need to be housed, catered for etc etc and ...

Re: Alumnis and Union Affiliations.

We have an annual "Presidents" (alumni) weekend. It's all organised by the club, the AU don't really play a part as we just ask our groundsmen to mark a pitch out wherever there isn't cricket being played (usually on the rugby pitches), aside from the one year when the pitch had to be mark...

Re: Harrow Carbon Graphite Men's Shafts

...the last training session before our season-finale it got smashed into little pieces as a defender checked it as I was shooting. I wouldn't say I was a defender... But looking back I reckon it must have had a crack or fracture under the rubber coating as neither the shot or check were that hard....

Re: Harrow Turret/Crossbow X

I had a turret and loved it. Get's a bit messed up if you're facing, but otherwise a quality head.

If anyone has a turret kicking about give me a shout as I'd love to get another.

Re: Flags Weekend

In our experience, we have conceded just one, due to a car accident ruling out a regular driver. We have had one conceded in our favor, but York always concede when coming to us (still not bitter, honest)! Never happened in my day as captain...
