Re: I'm back
Holy crap that's an impressive story. On a side note, never trust physios, I hear they're evil people. Thank you kindly, I wish it was only a story, impressive or otherwise. Some physios are alright, there are some very pretty ones in Cardiff  . None of them have seemed to have figured out ye...

Re: NEMLA PREMIER 1 PLAY OFFS
In which case, fair play to falseteeth for getting something in place so quickly. I seriously feel for Newcastle on this one. Good luck finding a pitch and getting the game played. What a monumental f*ck up this has been. Meh, we've been treated worse. It wouldn't feel like lacrosse without a trip ...

Re: I'm back
I doubt it's a bad 'guy' as well, poison is typically a woman's weapon. Or a weapon of those who feel physically inferior Things I've learnt in the NHS: If you are 6' 2"+ don't require a long hospital stay; there isn't enough food, the beds ain't long enough and none of the physios (no matter ...

France Lacrosse - trials for Denver 2014
Hi guys, France Lacrosse are preparing for the World Champs in Denver 2014. They have already held one trial weekend but are still on the lookout for potential players. The next session will be held 15 to 16 June 2013 at Mayence in Germany (chosen for logistical and financial reasons). The team will...

I have a lot of respect for Stockport. Stockport created Dave Bryant. Shame we could only take the boy out Stockport and not vice versa.

I reckon brighter lines for the crease markings wouldn't go amiss. Might help your attackers know when they can and cannot check the goalkeeper! ;-) This has been noted and sent to the man in charge. The lines hadn't been painted since Christmas so I was surprised they were as good as they were TBH...

Re: Results 9/2/13
Ladies and Gentlemen. I think there's one thing we can agree upon yesterday and it is that in Newcastle, yesterday, the winner was.. fun. Yaaay! I believe the winner was the groundsman. He did an impeccable job keeping the pitch in top condition....took him hours apparently. Gilly is just a grumpy ...

Fitness wise, one answer - Hill sprints. They will dramatically increase your speed, power, strength, recovery and cardiovascular fitness.
Any injuries give me a shout, can recommend top physios across the country.

Newcastle 8-12 Norbury.
Newcastle down to 11 men after one missed his train from Durham and another injured himself in the warm up!
Poor first quarter cost the Toon in what was a close game throughout.
All lacrosse games should be played on 3G!

viewtopic.php?f=6&t=17855 As of 11am this morning there's three postponements listed already, plus two more that I have heard rumours about through other channels: Norwich v Brighton appears to be off due to waterlogged pitch and Reading v East Grinstead is apparently off due to the insurance i...

What's the weather been like down south? Are many games going ahead?
We've had snow, ice and rain up North for the past week but had the all clear from the groundsman for Newcastle - Norbury to go ahead.

Re: Can Women now play Men's lacrosse??
In my opinion we should be looking at similar sports to see how they manage and differ between men's and women's versions. Obviously people have mentioned football, tennis, etc but missed out on what I feel is the closest sport to lacrosse - ice hockey. Just a quick excerpt from Wikipedia - The USHL...

Newcastle 1 - 18 Brooklands (0-9 at half time)
Good clean game played on the freshly painted 3G pitch at Newcastle Uni.
No excuses, Brooklands were just a class above. Thanks to the lads for making the trip.

Re: Flags squad size
If I remember rightly it's 13max for cups, each player having played 5 league games or more this season. Not sure if that last bit still stands, if it was for the finals only or what.
Im sure some teams haven't even played 5 games this season....

Probably.
To add to the whole Uni players vs Junior players debate, 8 of our 13 goals were scored by players with 2 years or less experience.
